Use Recoup from an AI agent

Recoup runs a public, read-only MCP server at https://recoupaudit.com/mcp/. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any client that supports remote MCP servers, and the agent can ask what Recoup does, what it costs, whether it fits, and run the same estimate as this website. No API key, and it reads no customer data.

Connect it

Claude: Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector, paste https://recoupaudit.com/mcp/.
ChatGPT: in developer mode, add a connector with the same URL.
Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and other clients: add it to your MCP config:

Every tool is marked read-only. The server speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP and answers in JSON. A GET request to https://recoupaudit.com/mcp/ shows its name and tools.

Questions

Does the Recoup MCP server need an API key?

No. It is public and read-only. It answers questions about Recoup and runs estimates from the numbers you give it. It does not read or store any customer data.

Which AI apps can use it?

Any client that supports remote MCP servers over HTTP, including Claude (custom connectors), ChatGPT (developer mode connectors), Cursor, VS Code and Windsurf. Add the URL https://recoupaudit.com/mcp/ as a remote server.

Can an agent change anything through it?

No. Every tool is read-only. It cannot move money, change a subscription, send a message or read your store, help desk or billing data.
