# Recoup

> Recoup audits the actions of AI customer support agents in Shopify stores. It checks every ticket the AI agent closed where money was promised (refunds, partial refunds, replacements, store credit, discount codes) against the orders and refunds in Shopify and the payments in Stripe, Shopify Payments or PayPal, and lists the mismatches with the money at stake.

Recoup is for ecommerce brands that use an AI support agent such as Gorgias AI Agent, Zendesk AI or Intercom Fin. It is built by AGUNA Wellness Ltd (RC 9590421, Abuja).

## What it finds
- Refunds the agent promised that were never issued
- Refunds issued twice or for the wrong amount
- Discount codes and store credit outside the brand's written policy
- Repeat refund requests from the same customer
- A weekly error rate for the AI agent

## How it works
1. The brand sends three exports: help-desk tickets, Shopify orders and refunds, and payments.
2. Recoup matches each ticket where money was promised to its order and payment. The money matching is deterministic code; a language model only reads the ticket text.
3. The brand gets a report with each mismatch, the amount, and a link to fix it in its own admin. Ongoing monitoring uses read-only access.
