Recoup vs Oversai: conversation QA or money audit?
Oversai and Recoup answer different questions. Oversai is real-time quality assurance for AI support agents: it checks conversations against your knowledge base across Gorgias, Zendesk, Intercom, Kustomer, Sierra, Decagon, Ada and Fin. Recoup checks whether the money an agent promised actually moved in Shopify and Stripe, which Oversai's page does not mention. Many brands with an AI agent touching refunds could use both.
We make Recoup, so read this with that in mind. We have tried to describe Oversai the way its own site does (oversai.com, read 17 Oct 2026). Recoup is new and we are onboarding the first brands by hand. Oversai is a live product with public pricing and a wider set of integrations. What is the difference between AI agent QA and refund reconciliation?
AI agent QA reads the conversation and asks whether it was good: correct facts, right tone, no invented policy, escalated when it should be. The evidence is the transcript and your knowledge base.
Refund reconciliation reads the conversation for promises of money, then leaves the conversation and looks at the ledger. The evidence is the Shopify order, the refund records and the Stripe charge.
A conversation can pass QA and still fail reconciliation. "I've refunded your $40, sorry for the trouble" is accurate, polite and on-policy. If no refund was created, or two were, only the ledger shows it. The reverse is also true: a conversation can have the right refund behind it and still be rude or wrong about delivery times, which only QA catches. More on this in the glossary.
When to choose Oversai
- Your main worry is what the agent says: invented policies, wrong product facts, tone.
- You run several AI agents across Sierra, Decagon, Ada or Kustomer and want one QA layer.
- You want checks in real time, while conversations happen.
- Your agent does not touch money, or rarely does.
When to choose Recoup
- Your AI agent can cancel, refund, credit, discount or replace on a Shopify store.
- You want to know how much money the agent's promises cost or saved, with ticket and order for each case.
- You want to start free, on your own exports, before deciding anything.
- You want read-only access only.
When to use both
If your agent both answers questions and moves money, the two do not overlap much. QA catches bad answers. Recoup catches bad money. Running the free Recoup audit next to an existing QA tool is a cheap way to see whether the money side needs its own check.

Not really. Oversai checks what an AI agent says. Recoup checks whether the money it promised moved in Shopify and Stripe. If you only need one, pick the one that matches your bigger risk.
Does Oversai check Shopify or Stripe refunds?
Its website did not mention Shopify or Stripe checks when we read it on 17 Oct 2026. Ask Oversai directly, as products change.
Can I run Recoup and Oversai together?
Yes. Recoup only reads exports or read-only API data, so it does not interfere with a QA tool that reads the same conversations.
